We left the house really early and were gone all day long doing fun things. It took some planning and preparation but we managed it&#8230; and we even got in two naps while out and about. Not bragging here&#8230; I am amazed we did it. We didn&#8217;t do anything ELSE that week while I recovered, but this day was lots of fun.<\/p>\n<p>We left pretty early, had a snack in the car and then hit up a petting zoo at BookPeople.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pkjj.org\/?attachment_id=902\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-902\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-902\" alt=\"2013-02-20 10.53.02\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pkjj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/2013-02-20-10.53.02-1024x577.jpg\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Yes, that woman has a bearded lizard on her back!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pkjj.org\/?attachment_id=903\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-903\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-903\" alt=\"2013-02-20 11.19.52\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pkjj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/2013-02-20-11.19.52-577x1024.jpg\" width=\"560\" height=\"993\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">We got to pet a bunny, a chinchilla (so soft!!), a guinea pig, and the bearded lizard. I was under the impression that they would have ducklings which was why I wanted to take Jo so badly. No suck duck, but we still had a good time.<\/p>\n<p>When we left, Jo fell asleep in the car (yes!). Mommy parked, got some reading in, and then we had lunch at The Tavern (yes, I guess it technically is a bar). Mommy got her favorite sandwich ever (veggie burger with pineapple ring and teriyaki sauce) and THE best potato chips you will EVER eat while Jo had her packed lunch.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pkjj.org\/?attachment_id=904\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-904\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-904\" alt=\"2013-02-20 12.40.36\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pkjj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/2013-02-20-12.40.36-577x1024.jpg\" width=\"425\" height=\"754\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>By now it was time for our regular storytime so we hit the library.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pkjj.org\/?attachment_id=905\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-905\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-905\" alt=\"2013-02-20 14.00.31\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pkjj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/2013-02-20-14.00.31-1024x577.jpg\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When we left, Jo took her second nap on the way home. Doesn&#8217;t sound like a lot, huh? But it sure did take a lot of work. Back in the day I would periodically call in &#8220;sick&#8221; to work and have an Adventure Day so I am glad to share the tradition with Jo.
